Somei Yoshino Taiko Ensemble (SYTE), founded in 1999, goes beyond the beat of the taiko drum to use music, theater and dance as a medium to express the human condition as it relates to its environment, community and its future.

Somei Yoshino Taiko Ensemble are part of Dance Wave I, August 19 and 21, one of three different programs in which 12 companies have 5 minutes each to show their chops. Dubbed a kind of "appetizer show", the performances may be short but you are sure to be entertained by a wide range of styles and forms of dance and movement.
